1-2 ohms is low imp
ok,
according to http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20t...ifications.htm
the silvertop 20 valve uses 295cc 2 ohm injectors (instead of the 1 ohm used by the old 4AGEs)
i thought they went from high impedence to low, it seems not!
1-2 ohms is low imp
yeah thats what i thought, but terry says they are no good. maybeye that list has the value wrong, ill have to bust out the multimeter.
i always thought high imp was like 16 ohms, low was 4 or so.
no idea really
Generally anything less than 4 or 5 ohm is low and anything above 10 is high,
and anything in between is weird or faulty.

thanks guys, correct, its for a specially built 3SG. I used a turbo head & rail for bonnet clearance reasons, and simply forgot about injector impedance as I'm so used to programmable systems (my stuff up). The owner cant afford a custom computer so i'm trying to find a suitable compromise injector, smaller than stock 3SGTE (side feed) and low impedance. The 20V ones in my hand are 13 ohm. I've never seen a 1 ohm 4AG injector. The 162 stock injector was 6 to 9 ohm I believe (but physically checking tomorrow) .
So therfore I need, low resitance (5-9 ohm), side feed, about 300cc.
i'll measure mine tomorrow
I've fixed it (sort-of). The original 162 injectors turned out to be 13 ohm so we dropped in some stock 20V silver top ones (also 13 ohm) and fixed the over-fueling problem. I'm not convinced they will flow enough, but its a good start. I'm still chasing some alternatives, but at least I've confirmed I'm on the right track. We can get a bit more fule by uprating the pumpm pressure. I'll put a lambda meter on the exhaust, and all will be revealed.
