    No sweat.

FWIW It is not advisable to run a turbo without cooler pipes connected. Having the pipes connected puts the turbo under some form of load due to air pressure in the pipes...... boosted or not boosted it doesnt matter. A turbo with no cooler pipe connected can cause the shaft speed to go through the roof even at low engine rpm.

    Keep this on mind mate

    I will, thanks.

I got a bit lucky today, I sorted it all out - I had a couple of vacuum leaks. It fired up and revved better. I then tried the GZE MAP sensor and it was perfect - picked up the revs nicely - no smoke no soot. Anyway thanks guys - I can go on from here now.

Just thinking about this load on the turbo, I still need to break in the rings. So I was thinking what if I made up a plate I bolt to the oulet flange which has a restrictive hole on it to simulate load on the turbo? I need to be able to do a couple of runs up the street.

Drive done, everything worked perfectly. Now to get it some cooler pipe welded up and then off to the dyno to get tuned for boost.
