I've checked with some scrayard in SG just now. They have stock for Vr4's, which cost like SGD100. 7MGTE injector would be difficult to find in SG.Originally Posted by 4agte

Was actually think of getting the EVO 8 injectors. But my tuner said that emanage might not be able to support till that high injectors. So i guess 440cc injector would be just nice to support 1.2bar. Hope he will not have to max out the duty cycle as i am kind of afraid that if the injectors clog up next time, there goes my piston.Originally Posted by 4agte

i made 144rwkw with the 365cc injectors maxing out. So it would seem they are out of flow at this power level.

May i know which turbo you using and how much is 144rwkw?Originally Posted by 30psi 4agte
0.74kW = 1Hp
approx 30% power loss for RWD, a bit less for FWD
Roughly 144rwkW would be 260Hp at the crank?
meh...
Which turbo im using now or when i made the 144kw ? I assume the later.Originally Posted by SG-EE100
I was using a mazda 13b turbo core(water cooled) with a 12a exhaust wheel and a t04e front wheel at the time.
1kw = 1.342 hp
so: 144rwkw = 193.1 hp at the wheels.

T04E .. WOW Impressive. So i assumed my problem is that my injector already max out. Thanks to all brothers in this forum. You guys are really helpful.Originally Posted by 30psi 4agte

Thought I'd keep the subject going; I recently fired up my 4A-GTE and it doesn't rise above idle unless you give it throttle really slowly. I'm using the GZE 365cc injectors, apparently they are difference impedance to the 4A-GE ones. Does anyone know if this is true? I always thought that the 4A-GE ones are low impedance so I can't see the GZE ones causing drastic overfuelling. No CEL flagged and sensors are all checked.
I should note I'm trying to just get it to run using th 4A-GE ECU so I can take it to get the eManage tuned. Any thoughts? I tried using the 4A-GE MAP sensor only. I have a GZE one I may try to offset the overfuelling.

measure the resistance of the injectors...
did the originals use a resistor pack? what was their resistance?
if the originals were low impedance and had resistor pack (or were high imp), but the new ones are low and you don't use a pack, the ECU will likely die.
if the old were either high imp, or low imp with resistor pack, and the new ones are high imp, it should be ok.

Talasas, if you are running a stock 4AGE ECU with 4AGZE injectors then you will be running mega rich. 4AGE injectors are 1**cc and ZEs are 365. So your engine is getting (very roughly) double the fuel your ECU is asking for.
Get it tuned ASAP, or drive it on the 4AGE injectors and very little boost/revs until you can tune it.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
Okay, research done:
Original Injectors: 235cc 2ohm
Turbo Injectors: 365cc 2ohm
The reason I had the belief that it would work well enough so I can drive it to get tuned was there was a member on tc.org who ran theirs with this setup for a month or so on boost. Now he said it was rich but he said it was quite drivable. I'm more concerned that I can get throttle to revs up but only really slowly. It won't be driven until I need to get it to the tuning shop. Just trying to save transports cost. Plus I wanted to break in the new rings so I need to be able to do a couple of runs up and down the street.
I was going to try leaning it off a bit with the eManage dials on the front but without a wideband sensor I'd rather not.
I should also clarify it's currently in NA mode as there is no cooler piping and I won't put the piping on until it's on the dyno. Unfortunately I can't put in my 4A-GE injectors as I sold them.

Okay it gets worse, accroding to this website:
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/P...Injectors.html
The original injectors are:
Colour: Green
Resistance: 13.8
Flow (cc/min) :250
Valve Hole: cone (2)
Engine: 4A-GE (EFI-D 89.8-)
The GZE ones are:
Colour: reddish-orange
Resistance: 2.9
Flow (cc/min) : 365
Valve Hole: ball (2)
Engine: 4A-GZE
This is strange. Why have I never heard of anyone using a resistor to make GZE injectors work on a 4A-GE before? Have they all used aftermarket standalone ECUs?

So does the fact that you dont have your cooler piping on mean the turbo is free spining ???
I SHOULD HOPE NOTE !!!!!!!!!!
Runing so rich on fresh rings is also a big no no !!!
Sounds like things are a bit out of control at the moment, Id just put the old injectors in and bite the bullet and take it somewhere to get it sorted ASAP.
EDIT: just read that you sold old injectors![]()

<SIGH> you guys continue to miss the point. I'm amazed you get anything done if you're constantly afraid of this and that. Let me clarify again a few points:
1: I do not drive the car - thus it's not "running" anything
2: A turbo makes air, where that air goes is abstracted away as far as the turbo is concerned, load pressure may or may not be an issue unless the wastgate is open.
3: I have my wastegate open at all times during this process so there is no more "free spinning" happening from the turbo than it would when you are at idle when boost is negligible. I'm not boosting hard with the turbo maxxing out or anything. In fact I'm not boosting at all.
4: You make it sound like I'm trying to run the car without wanting to tune it - I'm trying to make it driveable so it can make the 2km trip to the dyno.
5: The engine has not run more than 3 minutes since I've built it, I need to set the timing don't I?
6: I need to break in the rings somehow and it needs to happen before it goes to the dyno. This takes about 5 minutes.
All right, so my last question was simply about the resistance these injectors carry, I've never heard anyone mention using a resistor - why is that? I need to get these injectors sorted out either way as they are the ones I need to be using and I don't know if the eManage can handle changes in resistance.
Let me worry about the rest, it's under control.
