hey guys tailshaft sh*t itself had a quote for a custom one at 495 just wondering if anyone knows any cheaper places in brisbane or a cheaper solution. thanks.

What died on the original one? And shop around, tailshafts are something that can vary widely in price/quality.

Died mainly becuase it was old and i guess it couldnt handle the 7mgte it had twisted the main rubber sleave shortening it by 30mm and the universal joints are had it.

If you can wait a while I'll be selling my modified Hilux tailshaft which is currently installed in my MA61. It survived over 2 years behind a 2JZ-GTE before the front uni fell apart a few months ago. It's since been rebuilt with new uni's and centre bearing.

If you need something soon-ish though, I can recommend getting a Hilux tailshaft shortened; it's cheaper and a full custom tailshaft and they're pretty tough.
