    Default Clicking Clutch

    Hey guys,
Last night my clutch started "Clicking" against something everytime I would press it in, it's a fairly solid click. Anyone got any ideas?
    Cheers

I've experienced this a little bit in mine.

check / try adjusting your pedal height and master cyl pushrod play adjustment.
If the pushrod is adjusted out too far, it can sit slightly out of the cylinder when the pedal is up, if you know what I mean, then makes a click sound when you press on it - however mine's been making a click sound even half-way down lately
could also be to do with the slave cylinder and release fork - somethings dried out - needs more grease etc.

in the pedal, or in the clutch area somewhere?

the squeek is likely on the pedal (should hear the one in the ke70 haha) and maybe something is a little in the way of the pedal???

does it rumble quietly when the pedal is depressed? That's usually an indicator of a worn thrust bearing.

mine does, and the pedal is very... "bumpy/grainy" on the way down.

but my whole clutch kit it less that 4,000k old.

mine does too and the kit has seen similar km. I'm sure the guy who did it muffed the install. He fugged a couple of things when I went in.

No it feels like it's catching, it's only as I'm pressing down there is always one solid click feels like near the top of the clutch pedal bar. I stuck my head under there and couldn't find anything close.
    Cheers

Just under the dash because it felt like it was inside the cabin, I could be wrong though.

Well the good news is it looks like it was one of those problems that solved itself.

A grotty spline/clutch plate interface can also cause a clicking sound when the clutch pedal is depressed. The clicking can be felt through the pedal as it occurs.

Probably not the cause in this case but something for others to be aware of.

Chances are whoever installed the clutch forgot to put some grease on the clutch release fork pivot ball, it's an easy thing to forget and will do exactly what you're describing.

A quick fix is to move the rubber boot back and using some spray grease put the nozzle inside the bellhousing and spray it down the back of the release fork towards towards the pivot ball it clips onto.. then pump the clutch a few times and see if the noise goes away.
