    Default external wastegate?

    hi
    looking at setting up this turbo 3rz and want to get it engineered/licenced but will be running an external wastegate
    is there a way to remove this just for the pit inspection and put a plate over the end is this possible or necesary
    any thoughts about this

    Why do you want to remove it? It should pass over any inspection if it is plumbed back into the exhaust (and before the cat and mufflers). There are many cars with external wastegates from factory.

    Plus, if you take it off and block it you will blow your engine from excessive boost.

    ok thanks i was told they were illegal must have been if it has a screamer pipe
    so plumbed back into exhaust is ok?

    Yep, screamer pipes are very illegal for obvious reasons but external wastegates are fine.
