Default First start after 6 months sitting... GZ20

    Ey all,

I've done a bit of a search and found nothing too helpful... My mates GZ20 has been sitting in the back yard for 6 months, and for the whole time it was not started...
The time has come to start it again, I'm just looking for some things I should do to make sure it starts up ok...

I’ve checked the oil, water, tranny fluid, and all other fluids... We will be replacing the battery and doing an oil change once we start it... I've gota fix a power steering leak, but other than that the car looks fine...

Should I be concerned about all the oil being in the sump? and the possibility that something might have seized? maybe I should crank it with the igniter disconnected to get some oil around the motor...? Anything else will be helpful.

    Thanx fellas

just ensure you have the vital fluids. If you can, pull out the spark plugs and put a bit of oil down the holes and rotate the engine by hand or with the starter with the ignitor unplugged. Provided the battery can do it, keep cranking until oil pressure light goes out.
