Manufacturers specify minimum thickness of their flywheels for a damn good reason. The issue is not mechanical strength, it's heat cycling which can weaken the structure of the metal and make it fracture and fly apart.

Forgot to mention that flywheel that was in the pics before is not lightened stock one. I made that from solid block of steel.
