Hey Bud,
My Ra28 is currently running tubeless 185/70 R14. It is running on the factory rims that came with it when it was brand new back in its day. Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Guys,
All my Info is JDM or TA22 focused. I know I have the RA23/28 owners manual at my mums but tyring to save myself the drive lol
Does anyone know wheels and what tyres were fitted to the RA28 Celica from factory in Australia ?? Also need proof. (Ie scan on genuine Toyota brochure form Australia or better still scan from owners manual)
If my me memory serves me right the rims were 14" x 5.5" and the tyres were 185's but I need to know for sure including aspect ratio ie 185/75 or 185 SR etc.
I just want to alculate my legal tyre size options before I day dream about some new wheels.
Thanks.

Original factory fitment was a 165SR14 - equating to 165/82/14, or 626.2mm rolling diameter.
Rod - i'll take a copy of that one when you find it please![]()

So, you're saying LT RA23/28's only come out with 13" wheels - I think not?!? Rod, I went through all this years ago with both an engineer and Toyota, 14x5.5 and 165SR14 is the good oil for an RA28 - even if it does give an odd tyre size in today's world! I'd hazard a guess at River's manual being UK spec, as we all know, we never got 1600cc LT Celica's in the RA range!?!
I'll see if I can find one and scan it tonight. I know I have the service logbook thing, the emissions manual, and one other book from my white 28... I just hope that is the owners manual.
we'll see.

The lack of LT 2000 specs does suggest it was intended for a non local sale tho. Either way, I recon it will pacify my engineer![]()

Hi,
I don't know where the manual was printed. It seems to be a universal one 'cos it has interior shots that are left-hand drive, and then some right-hand drive, and some sections it mentions Australia (ie for the seat belts). So I dunno what the deal is with it.Originally Posted by Peter Costello
It's not something that I have looked at in great detail as it's for the RA23/28 and I don't own one, so I guess I haven't paid much attention to it.

PS: Besides, it's now Rod's manual. I don't need it and he can have it next time I see him.

What about the original offset? Is it +38?
Nope, 32mm on that 14x5.5" rim.
Thanks for that...Originally Posted by Peter Costello
