I used one that fits the last gen Celica (2ZZ) on Kylie's car (her 1JZ is a VVTi, so I am not sure if it is the same).
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

Are you definitely sure you routed it through the correct way?

FYI the 6PK1900 belt is too long, tensioner is at its limit trying to hold it tight. I purchased a 6PK1875 it fitted perfectly, tensioner marks are spot on.

Aircon removed...note how close tensioner is to power steering pump when using 6PK1900 belt.

Tensioner is out of range, note markings.

Haven't taken any pics of the 1875 fitted up, but the markings are spot on in the middle, lining up perfectly. The rattle from the tensioner pulley disappeared when I put the shorter belt on too.

So it only has to go around h. balance, water pump and alternator. Very simple
    Any pics of this setup?

Don't forget that the 2JZ is 15mm taller in the deck height, so it is unlikely that the 1J belt will fit.
