Default 7M-GTE 2JZ-GTE. Intake Manifold Interchange?

I have been seeing a few pictures of pretty wild 7M's lately, and they have a front mounted throttle plenum. Does anyone know if the 7M intake ports are alinged with 2JZ? I know its a long shot but these are factory Toyota manifolds and its the only thing I can think of.

Nope, they're not a direct fit sorry. Quite a few people have adapted 1JZ/2JZ plenums to fit on 7M's though; it seems fairly popular in the US. If you're good at welding alloy it shouldn't be hard to do as the port spacing is pretty close.

Read up about it on supraforums.com. Plenty have done it but no it doesn't bolt up.

It requires the lower runners to be cut in a certain place and be dodgely rewelded to the upper runners of the 2J plenum. It's not perfect but its close.

It would be more cost effective cutting the 7m plenum off and having a new plenum made up to the factory runners.

But im going to keep my centre feed plenum. Should be good for 375rwkw.
