Unless you have a reresentative in Japan, or speak the language, and intend going there, I would suggest you buy locally.
Minimum buy from a Japanese exporter , would be a 20ft container.
cheers Chuck.
Hi
Im hoping some people that have imported engines themselves, or thru another company, can write about websites they went thru, and if there were good or bad things about the company or shipment.
Any serious companys that ships from japan deliver worldwide is very intrestin.
i been googling on jdm toyota engines, but the sites i have found doesnt really look too thrustworty, so i hope some people here have some opinions about import/export companies
Thanks in advance

i just want 1 engine, and im not planning on go to japan, i was more hoping on a company that resell single engines and can ship worldwide.
buying locally would be the best, but im in europe, and i cant seem to find anyone here that import toyota engines.
if there is any australian or usa based importers that resell and ships worldwide and have a good reputation, im intrested in knowing about it.
on ebay i see them claim very low km's on the jap engines, and that they tested and so on, but is this normally true? i wonder if people normally is happy with their engines, or if there is a big chance you can end up with a engine thats already been trashed and are ready for the graveyard?
Generally speaking, No. And some may have sat wherever for quite some time, so much so that rust begins to develop in the bores. Not often but you should always have a minimum of a leakdown test and a check of the internals with a borescope done.Originally Posted by MarkIIRx12

in australia we are very lucky to have a heap of engine importers whom we can buy engines off. Prices are great and if you do your due dilligence you can get a good low km engine.
here is teh list of engine importers thread, try contacting them and see if they ship overseas
