They will not let you run with the top down, unless you have a roll bar... Also who gives a toss what the car looks like, you are there to run a quick time, not parade around like some metro fag cruising the Freo cafe strip and trying to pick up 16year olds..

Veep- as far as permanent weight reduction.. Take your seats and shit out of the back.. Get some dry ice if you can.. If not dont worry.

Then get a hammer and chisel and go to town on your sound deadening.. We removed over 40kgs from my brothers sprinter, and that was only the back..

If you really want, strip your dash and shit so you can get to the firewall and give it the same treatment.. Soarers are usually filled with shit to make em quiet, coz god forbid you might actually hear your engine...

This will strip some weight, as well as make your car sound better inside.. You will be able to hear the motor louder, hear a better exhaust note and maybe hear your fuel pump. All together sounds awesome..

Unless you are one of them that loves quiet comfy cars.. Then dont worry about it..

Also, if you want speed, not comfort.. get behind your dash and rip out all the aircon piping and shite, remove the air con compressor all together..

All this will help, but a nice healthy dose of boost will also help with your times..

I'd be taking everything out including the spare. You don't need weight over the front wheels when the rear wheels are driven! You would have some sound deadening in the cabin.

steering feels very light without the spare in there. Even with teh spare, it's quite hard to control. Needs an alignment too.

I'll do a couple of runs with and without.

Will there be a toymods support vehicle in place for last minute repairs?

Dude, its a straight line.. There is no way that your car is powerful enough to require that mcuh steering in a straight line..

You will have sound deadening for sure, all cars do.. Especially new cars.. Lift your carpet wherever you have some and look at the crap stuck to the floor.. Considering your car is rear engine, you will have a lot behind your seats on the firewall..

Thats for a permanent effect though.. Its a bit too serious unless you are either gonna track your car or are very serious about racing.. Otherwise it will be a lot of effort for SFA..

P.S Eldar, im just pulling the piss mate.. I couldnt really care what others do with their cars..... Ill just make smart ass remarks from a distance for my own and others amusement..

bahahaha.. tyre shops are good for that.. My usual dude sprays it on for me just to give me the shits.. But he does give me $10 tyres with 80% tread.. So im prepared to live with it..

I normally hate it when they spray it on the side, it gets on your rims and makes em look cheap..
