I would say your primary air corrector jet is too large.
Try a size a decent amount smaller than 165.
Hi people, Am just trying to work out which way to go with the carb. From 2000 to 4200 rpm the motor has a huge flat spot. In that rev range if I keep the foot still the car hunts like hell. If I floor it then all hell breaks loose and I reckon I could take on an ss commodore...My primary main jet is 140 secondary jet is 160 air mixer primary is 165 and secondary is 185. The jet sizes seem to be ok, so I was wondering if maby the float level is out???? Should I try more or less on the float level? Thanks for ya time here. Cheers, Brad.

Is it a DGV or DFA?
I think the primary is supposed to be further away form the cylinders?
