So, what you are saying is:
If i called your work number and left a message cos you werent at your desk at the time, and didnt receive a response from follow-on messages left.... then found out from your work colleague that you were overseas on a business trip....... would I then complain that you didnt correctly serve my needs to my next door neighbour?

Comon, he is ONE man, running a business that we all BENEFIT from. He is currently overseas looking for ways to help us out even more and hopefully grow his business further. I think that's a perfectly valid excuse.

I'm with Wagonist here.... give John a break.

Yeah I was just saying DriftSpec had a point. No, I haven't personally been on the other end but obviously if the guy is overseas I wouldn't be complaining and I don't think DriftSpec is either. I wasn't having a go I was just saying generally that the point was a valid one.

I guess at times when you are really busy it wouldn't be hard to set up an AUTO REPLY feature in your email which will let anyone emailing you know that either you are away or are so busy it might take a while to reply to you.

I have emailed him a few times and he has been pretty quick.

Like The Witz! said, he probably gets a hundred emails a day from spastic ricers that have nfi what they want except that it must be 'fully sik', so emails with bad grammer and spelling or sms\l337 typing are probably put in the 'not serious & read later' folder. Thtats what I would do anyway.

Yeah, i have bought some bits from him, and all bar one item (large and bulky one) he has gotten them quickly and promptly.

From trying to juggle working on my race car, working full time, plus extra interviews for new jobs, and then selling bits and pieces i kinda know what it is like. Its extremely busy, and even though you have the best of intentions to reply to someone, it gets to like 1am after you have been at the workshop till 11:30pm and you just give up and action it for the next day..... when it all starts all over again.
I guess the biggest difference with e-mail is that it doesnt stop at 5pm wheras your traditional phone up or walk in people stop at that time.

Anyway im rambling and need to sleep...

I had a bit of trouble with receiving responses from John, super nice guy, maybe he just needs an extra set of hands to help out.

Quality of product was great when it arrived, no doubt about that, it was just a nervous two & a bit months waiting for the goods to get sent with not much indication of what was happening. If he said it would be two or three months before i can get this stuff sent there wouldn't of been a problem, i could deal with that, but no response from some emails and emails indicating it would be sent asap kept leading to dissapointment when weeks kept going by and no goods.

But others have gotten exceptional service so maybe it was just me, who knows.

Really nice guy but yeah thats just my experience
