As long as they're both Gen 2 it's close enough. There are two different versions, the later one has an extra two stud holes to help reduce distortion, but they should fit either head.
Can anyone tell me if the ST185 exhaust manifold is the same as the SW20 manifold??
Cheers, Justin.

Justin - The SW20 spanned 2 generations (and apparently several variations) of the 3s... there is a possibility that the 185 manifold is the same as the sw20 genII manifold, but it is not going to be the same as the genIII one (there is and extra bolt on the genIII)

The glass is neither half empty nor half full, rather the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
I'm looking to put it onto a Gen1 3SGTE. I'm a bit cramped for room so I really want it to position the turbo in much the same place as the Gen1 manifold does.
Gen 1 was never offered in the ST185 or the SW20. It was only offered in the ST165.
I know that, but the ST185 exhaust manifold bolts straight bolt on the ST165. I've bought myself a CT20b and I can get a SW20 manifold for a good price, so thats why i'm wanting to know if the SW20 and ST185 exhaust manifolds are the same.
OK well if the St185 manifold is a straight fit then a Gen 2 SW20 manifold should be a straight fit as well.
Thank you kindly, that's what I was hoping!! I was just worried that the Celica manifold may place the turbo in a different position to the MR2.
