I find it so hard to find information on 4azge's, thats why I am here I guess. I am building one up to replace my bigport 4age in my clubman. The engine I have is a very late model 4agze with twin coils, ingniter and hall effect pickup in the place where a distributor would be on the normal engine, exhaust sideof the head camshaft driven. The hall effect, distributor replacement has been removed from the engine and I am wondering if anyone has the correct method of reinstalling so the timing will be correct. Give me a distributor and I will have it in and timed in seconds but this thingy that replaces one has got me, there must be an easy way and I am sure some of you on this forum will have sucessfully done it. I live in Darwin and have not been able to source much info on the motor etc apart from bits and pieces on the web. Any suggestions as to a source of monuals, books etc to cover the 4agze engine, thanks, den.

It's probably the same as the 4AGE dizzy - turn the engine so that the indicator mark on top of the exhaust cam is pointing up. There will be a dot or other mark on the rotary part of the dizzy shaft. Line that up with the mark on the cam.
You will need to fine tune the timing with a timing light as per a regular dizzy.

Thanks to James Cameron's Terminator films, we know that robots are stronger, faster, tougher and more Austrian than the rest of us.
