I have a single turbo conversion kit for sale that actually works, if your interested.
Hi All,
I have found a single turbo kit for the 1JZ. I think its a complete Chinese kit but its really cheap. I went looking and found these specs on the turbo:
INLET: 3"
OUTLET: 2"
BEARING: WET FLOATING BEARINGS
OIL INLET: 1/8 NPT OIL INLET
FLANGE: STANDARD T3/T4 FLANGE
SWAPS: ~400 WHP
WORKING PRESSURE: 25-35 PSI PEAK BOOST OUTPUT CAPABILITY
COMPRESSOR: .60 A/R COMPRESSOR
TURBINE: 1.15 A/R TURBINE
COMPRESSOR WHEEL: TRIM: 61.7
EXDUCER: 2.72"
INDUCER:2.13"
TURBINE WHEEL: TRIM: 133
EXDUCER: 2.32"
INDUCER:2.92"
My question is will this be too laggy? 1.15 A/R seems rather high? Any ideas on approx power output? Im not shooting for anything amazing and would be happy with 250kW-ish at the wheels. The price of this kit is cheaper than me re building the stockies thats why Im looking into this option.

hah youd have to be kidding but if your not there pieces of shit i give it 500k's before it self destructs and if it lasts longer youve done well..... and if you cant see that from the price, chinas cheap shit has nothing on the precision and yes you need precision when something is spinning at 30000+ rpm 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for.
1.15 is big and id say would be laggy, a mate of mine has a gt35r with the 1.06 housing on a 1j and is laggy...
if anything id maybe buy a manifold , brace it more and buy a decent turbo spend 2k on a good turbo now and you wont have to worry about it again
id go to the garrett site and compare some more known turbos to the specs of this one to give you an idea.

I'd be very wary if it is 'really cheap'
People say good things about KKR turbos.
If you want cheap, chuck one of those on an ebay manifold.
Well Ive been told that it will produce around 15PSI after 4000. Too laggy for daily driving me thinks...

It'd be more like 15psi after 5000rpm.

I agree with berad's suggestion and Jampacs boost estimate.
1.15 A/r even on a t3 flange is quite large. My car is making 15psi at 4200rpm in first gear with a .63 t3 flange. Also the compressor wheel is pretty tiny, 54mm inducer. That is smaller than a GT30.
SO basically IMO, the rear is too big and the front is too small. You want the opposite.![]()
Just turn the turbo around? ( kidding )
