I plan to get there early, Kwinana Freeway roadworks notwithstanding.

yeah my problem was very similar, i had 4 runs, 3 times it bogged down hard and the last time was just wheelspin all through 1st..

today (if we go) is gonna be all about trying to figure out a good launch coz my car is having intermittent boost issues, which will probably make sure i cant put a whole run together without issues.. will try to fix it before tonight but it looks bleak..

i know this is embarassing but my previous best is a 15.32.... WTF?? in a car with 300ish hp,WTF?? the car ran faster with an auto box and less hp.. however it did have a terminal speed in excess of 170k's

and just in case ppl say the problem is between the steering wheel and the seat, i had a mate drive it down whois been racing for over 15yrs, and he couldn'd go much faster either..

anyway we will see how it goes tonight.. hopefully better then the above

I'm still saying the problem was between the seat and the steering wheel. Every car is different, but I'd say even your mate wasn't able to get the best out of your particular car.

As a basis for comparison, my car ran 15.3 both times, with a munted top end (TVIS locked shut) and only a 153kph trap speed.

Yes, the early weather reports weren't good, but seems that they're making it sound less likely for thunderstorms as the day gets older - so fingers crossed.

Sounds like 4:30ish will be crunch time. So, if it's still on between then and 5, I'll be heading down.

there are currently some thundery showers north near moora and south east near narrogin, ther is also some cloud coming in around 200km west of perth.. should miss us to the north though... thats what the dude at the weather bureau told me anyway.. no news on the motorplex website so far, so it looks good at the moment..

also it appears that my boost problems have been sorted.. loose wire on the fuel cut defender..

lets hope the weather stays away

Luckily my desk at work has window views.. so I've been looking at the weather all day!.. and its progresively been getting better!

Hopefully we are in luck and its a good night down at the 'plex.

I will call the 'plex just before I finish work and make sure its still on.. other than them caning it - I'll be there!

I'll see if my mk2 celica can beat Ross's previous mk2 times of 19sec's..
oooo yeah - fear the 80's power!!

    Cheers

Awesome night!... good to see everyone again and witness some awesome machines.

    Congrats to Matty piloting the wildsupra to a 12.80 @ 108mph with a 1.8 sec 60 footer...

I got some KILLER footage of these runs so expect to see some of it this week.
