    Default how to identify an older garrett turbo?

    as the title states, id like to identify the specs of an older garrett turbo so i can find a larger replacement exhaust housing. it doesnt have any tags, and no real numbers in a row on the cartridge. pics below explain

    Can we have some measurements to help as a reference point? What type of flange has it got (distance between bolt holes) at exhaust housing to manifold. It's oil fed only so that limits the options somewhat. Is it bush or bearing you can usually tell by looking in the oil drain side and see if its a cage or sealed unit. You can match your measurements on the Garrett site and that may give you some clue (If its a genuine garret that is).

    My guess would be Garrett T3 depending on how big it actually is in real life.

    These days you can buy a kando dynamic turbo that would whoop the ass of that old clunker for a thousand bucks.. Why spend a few hundred on a housing for an old turbo.

    SAU and many US based WRX forums have many people using the kando range with a zero reported failure rate. Were talking hundreds of reported good results.
