    Default Slow Cranking

    Hi

I'm posting in behalf of my workmate, he's got a RA60 and today at work it wont start just weak cranking till the battery went flat.
RACQ came and jump started the car and same issue, connected the jump starter cable to chassis (earth) and it started fine. RACQ guy said its the starter motor.

Now the car never had this problem before just today.

To me its like earthing problem or solenoid problem not starter motor itself

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

Check the earth on your battery is tight and not corroded, if you have a spare earth lead lying around wouldn't hurt to try that or even run 2!
    Then try this:
get a screwdriver and use it to bridge between the big bolt on the starter(where the bigger wire is) and the little wire, if it starts fine then the trigger wire is weak and you need to do this:

then if that doesn't change anything I would replace the starter.
    Cheers.
