Carmy ignition barrel ..

I think it is the same problem ... symptoms are similar.

Key in .. turn .. WTF no work ?!?! 5 or 10 minutes later, OK .. working perfectly.

Could it be anything other then the key barrel ? i.e. immobiliser etc. or will getting the lock re-wafered the way to go ?

try getting a new key or try a spare key sometimes the key will become worn down and sometimes will turn the ignition and sometimes wont
if this doesnt work i would get a new barrel

I did not mention that it did not even turn the first notch to Acc (or is it On).

Swapping keys working for now, so is it key or barrel you guys reckon?

keep trying the spare key if it fails then get a new barrell

HAH I keep failing to tell you something !!

THE main key will play up and the spare will work .. so the next time, I will use the spare - which would fail - then use the main and THAT would work !!

Common sense says barrel huh ?

yeah mate definately barrell
get a new barrel and key and fit it yourself they are not hard
when you need to code the new key post here or send me a pm and i can tell you the procedure
