    Default Broken bonnet latch

Was working on a 92 Camry today when we went to open the bonnet, pulled the release and hear a clunk but the bonnet didnt release. Now the release feels slack and the bonnet isnt releasing.

Anyone know any tricks to release the bonnet or remove it??
We tried taking out the headlights and undoing the hinges nuts but the nut wouldn't budge.

    Cheers

if you're lucky you may have just broken the release cable, which if you're even luckier will be broken somewhere near the lever inside the car. See if you can remove the lever and find where the cable is still intact, and give it a pull.

If it's not the cable, you may be in for fun unless you have really long arms to get in from under the car, or are willing to destroy your grill to get access to the end of the cable or the release latch. Fair few of this model in the wreckers lately to source another grill from if that's the way you go...

    Good luck
