AE82 Front HUB swap questions

Ok guys, ive searched the forums old an new.

what i need to know is.

will the front hubs from and ae92 swap directly over to a ae82 twinky.

questions
Does the swap have to be from an ae92 twinky to my ae82 twinky.
are there any size differences with the bottom strut pins.

I would like fact, not speculation.

any help would be appreciated, as my front left hub is Farked, and finding an ae82 twincam in tasmania is like finding a smokin hot blonde virgin at a nightclub.

The last AE82 twinky hubs I needed, I ended up getting from Toyota... Try a dealer if you have no luck.. Sorry I cant help with the swap info, I know that AE82 and AE82 twincam do not swap.

Woops, re-reading your post, i see that this doesnt apply to you.
My guess is they dont fit, else it would have been done.

ive seen a few people stating they have ae92 hubs, but i need more info, maybe they are only referring to the brakes only.

well, can anyone else help me.

please im getting deperate.

its looking like it will cost around 300 to get this hub rebuilt with new bearing.

im not willing to part with that much.
so i need alternatives

Hey there, short answer, Yes as long as u have a twincam...

i run ae92 front hubs in my ae82 sedan with twincam suspension, difference between non twincam and twincam ae92 is solid disc and vented disc

as a note im pretty sure u can run ae101 front hubs aswell

or ae92 std ones.

While I cant comment on the AE92 gear, I did get a new hub from toyota for 150 a side for AE82 twincam... Was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it was new.

just spoke with toyota down here, they said they cannot get me a new hub right now, as there are none available ?

I know when I have asked for parts, sometimes they have come from Melbourne, Sydney overnight. I guess this means that there are no genuine AE82 twincam hubs anywhere..

Just rang Northpoint Toyota, South Australia, Jamie said its listed as NLA, No Longer Available.

He went on to to say something about "43502-1210, its been superceded, I can get the replacement in but it will have to be Monday, $110"

So I guess now I would also have to get the replacement in from interstate as well!

Not sure what its been superceded with, there might be some crosscheck thingo on his computer.

hey there.. im running std ae92 front hubs, everything between strut and bottom ball joint

only thing i just remembered, im also running ae101 gze lsd shafts, they fit into the ae92 hubs, but are bigger then ae82 shafts.....

but im presuming the stock ae82 shafts will work fine.
