Remove the actuator and weld the wastegate shut. Get an adaptor made up to space the turbo away from the manifold and include a flange for a external gate.

can i just use a MIG welder to weld the gate? the housing seems like a cast iron type so i wonder what kind of weld should i do on the gate.. any one have sample photos?
just leave the gate there with no hose on the actuator then it wont open but thats a bit ugly when you have 2 gates.
most people dont like welding to cast, but a mig would be your best bet.

the actuator have to go no doubt as i'll rotate both compressor and turbine housing. the mounting will be totally out i guess. just weld it 360 degree all around on the gate or just few tack is needed?
just a 2 stitchs on opposite sides will be enough.

should i press hard on the gate when welding it?
id leave the actuator on while you weld it then disassemble the actuator system once its welded that way you know its sealed up.
