    Default AE82 Rear brakes/calipers ect - fit AE92?

Folks, anyone know if AE82 twinky rear brakes (the disks, calipers ect ect) will fit an AE92?

I found a set I wanna grab, just wondering if 1 its worthwhile and 2 whether it will fit?

Im guessing you have drums at the back????
If this is the case then there is a fair amount of things/work needed.
It should fit provided you have all the parts needed. I converted my ae92 to disc from a gti but thats only cos i had all the parts and pretty much just swaped the whole rear assembly. I recon you will need the ae92 (from a gti or sx) hubs as the ae82 wont fit and then the ae82 disks on that in which any case your prob better of goin and getting just the whole set up off an sx or gti. I remember the lines didnt need any changing they were bolt in.

Ive done the same upgrade to my AE82 and found it very worthwhile. It took me an easy day tto do. You may also want to consider picking up a SX or Gti master cylinder or getting your proportioningvalve reset by a brake shop as a disc brake caliper requires a greater line pressure to get the same braking effect.

    Nick, yes. Drums
Interestingly the DBA catalog lists all the rear rotors for AE82 twinky and AE92 as being the same part number - same thickness, dia, ect ect ect ect spam.

Moppitt - thanks for the link. I'll get reading.

Ahh yes my bad rears are the same between ae82 and ae92 its just the fronts that a different.
And yes i would assume the disk would be a kabillion times better.
    Good luck.

Nope. The ends of the cables are the same just hooks on to a different spot with disks.
