Default Flywheel to suit 1G Gen3

    Hey Guys,

Just checking to see if anyone knows of a compatible Flywheel thats the 240mm Across that would suit a 1G

Im looking at getting an engine shortly, but was told to try and get a fly wheel first.

Ive heard rumours that the 18R-C Fly is the same, and im pretty sure i know where i can get one of those.

The 3Y doesnt fit, from what i found last night. (Thanks Cruzida)

    Thanks

    Andrew,

the 240mm is a nominal number. As Grega said, the EXACT measurement is closer to 236mm but if you check the EXEDY clutch catalog they refer to the friction surface as 236mm. The Gen 3 flywheel supplied to me by Grega is 236mm but the full diameter including ringgear is 240mm.

    Hope this clarifies this,

    Cheers,

    Peter

I'll have a look at the 18R fly and do some measuring and check to see if it will bolt to the 1G also as I have both engines in the shed.
    Cheers Brett.

18RC wont fit otherwise it would have been done heaps of times before! if you want the largest clutch face, you need the gen 3 1GGTE one, otherwise settle for a gen 1 or 2 GTE or GEU 1G variant. Unless you can find a 3TGTE flywheel which is the same size as the gen 1 and 2.
