240mm ringgear across or clutch face?
check the gen3 flywheel as thats a 236mm face...
Hey Guys,
Just checking to see if anyone knows of a compatible Flywheel thats the 240mm Across that would suit a 1G
Im looking at getting an engine shortly, but was told to try and get a fly wheel first.
Ive heard rumours that the 18R-C Fly is the same, and im pretty sure i know where i can get one of those.
The 3Y doesnt fit, from what i found last night. (Thanks Cruzida)
Thanks
Andrew

the 240mm is a nominal number. As Grega said, the EXACT measurement is closer to 236mm but if you check the EXEDY clutch catalog they refer to the friction surface as 236mm. The Gen 3 flywheel supplied to me by Grega is 236mm but the full diameter including ringgear is 240mm.
Hope this clarifies this,
Cheers,
Peter

i know that 3tgte flywheeks fit, but i think they are a 225mm versiion....
3TGTE flywheel same as gen1 and gen2 1GGTE
I'll have a look at the 18R fly and do some measuring and check to see if it will bolt to the 1G also as I have both engines in the shed.Originally Posted by Herus

Thanks Brett,
Im just about to head out to see if the flywheel is still where im expecting it to be.
What kinda turn around time are we talking?
Andrew
18RC wont fit otherwise it would have been done heaps of times before! if you want the largest clutch face, you need the gen 3 1GGTE one, otherwise settle for a gen 1 or 2 GTE or GEU 1G variant. Unless you can find a 3TGTE flywheel which is the same size as the gen 1 and 2.Originally Posted by Herus
