That looks like a good spot but given that the brake booster runs from the larger pipe below the right angle smaller pipe (which I would connect my boost gauge to) doesn't it follow that the smaller pipe also is suitable as a vaccum outlet?

If I switched to where you suggest Gleno what do I do with the other outlet?

    Hey,

Yeah, the smaller pipe (with the brake boost) runs pre supercharger vacuum full time (top manifold), no boost, that's why you'll have to get a spot on the bottom manifold for the boost gauge.

The other small pipe with the brake vac i'm using for aftermarket cruise vacuum, could use for vac gauge too, but my boost gauge also does vac from the bottom manifold. Is it all getting there mate?

So in this first photo I have the charcoal canister connected to the port on the top of the manifold (as was pointed out earlier):

Now I have taken others advice and connected the boost gauge up to the port on the front of the manifold (as indicated by the Tee piece and the green cable ties)

Now that leaves me with the top port above the brake booster. Are you suggesting that is a vacuum gauge possibility? If not where should I connect it to (given that in one of the photos I posted above the connection seems to run down behind the engine)? Or should I just block it off!

    Thanks for your help,

Yes, Vac gauge or block off for the one with the brake booster vac.

Here's another pic of the boost gauge location i'm using, from the bottom hole on the bottom manifold (brass fitting in pic)

These photos identify a number of connections on the 1GGZE loom.

    For information only.

    Throttle Sensor
    Part No. 89452-12040 [198500-0330]

    Distributor

    Yellow wire is RPM signal

    Idle Speed Control Valve

    Water Temp

The single pin connector (white plug) is power, and the water temperature sensor is directly above that (green plug). Can someone identify the uppermost connector (grey plug)? Thanks.

Hey Mr. Bullfrog, where ya been?

Have made very little progress on the wiring for almost 3 weeks now. I'm wondering if I'm every gonna finish this thing.

On those 4 plugs you marked Auto A, B, C and D people tell me they are only to do with the automatic gearbox and not needed on the manual. What is your take on this?

    How's your conversion going? Progress?

    Cheers,

    Peter

    hi peter,

conversion hmm yeh i remember that.
just been flat out at work and other hobbies etc etc.
will update my conversion page next.
You are correct about the auto plugs to a certain extent as you will need to fool the computer into thinking it still has one to run (someone jump in i am incorrect) ie auto will only start in neutral/ park. and may have a engine rpm cut in nuetral.

    Hey,

On those pics mate, the plug labeled 'Air Flow' is the ISCV (idle speed control valve), will probably need a clean on your engine too! mine was grose.

I've done some checks of my ECU/Loom plugs as they are a bit different to all the diagrams i can find. As far as i know, the engine was from about a 1990 Crown. the 16 differences written on the circuit board are:

    At Plug Q:
    7. SP2 mine = empty
    8. ACM mine = ACR
    12. +B1 mine = B
    13. +B mine = B1
    14. M mine = empty
    21. P mine = GP

    At Plug R:
    7. TT mine = EC1
    14. OD2 mine = EC2

    At Plug S:
    8. S3 mine = NEO
    9. S2 mine = ES2
    10. S1 mine = ES1
    17. S mine = empty
    18. L mine = empty
    22. STP mine = ES3
    23. VS1 mine = ABV
    24. VS2 mine = ABP

So.... any ideas people??? As you can see, some are pretty close (in function) but some are way off. Has anybody seen this before????

    Cheers
    Glen.

I checked on the 7M-GE engine and can confirm that those four plugs all go to the auto gearbox, and therefore of no use to me.

However, you have thrown a spanner in the works regarding the ECU expecting those connections. What am I to do now? Do they need to be connected to something or just terminated, or disconnected.

This enquiry is targeted to all of the guys involved in mapping the Wiring Diagrams for the IG-GZE Engine. I was extremely relieved to have found this thread and commend you on the good work, especially Bull Frog.
I have that engine running in a 1988 Crown Royal Saloon which stalled in July of 2008 because of a broken Coil Pack bracket (The break severed the grounding to the three Coils) and although the grounding has been restored, the car has refused to start since then. I have used Bull Frog's Schematic Diagrams to try and trace the wiring fault without success.
To date, I have replaced the ECU, the Crank Angle Sensor, the Igniter and Fuel Injectors with the same result. That result is that the Fuel Injectors are only pulsing once when you tumble the ignition switch and then cease to pulse even when you continue cranking the engine.
Any ideas from anyone as to why that is happening?

    Sorry off topic
I cant believe that the injectors are mass fired in two banks ( 3 injectors fire at a time) :s
Thanks for posting these up they will become very helpful to me.
