seeing how you've had the car running, it would not be an immobiliser problem.
Checking if the injectors are firing is pretty easy with a test light etc, so you could do that.
Checking if the fuel pump is working is also easy, so check that too. You can check if it has spark by taking one of the coil's out of the head and attach a spark plug to it. Hold the threaded part of the plug against the alloy cam cover and get someone to crank the car, you should be able to see the spark.
Check that the engine ground is bolted securely to the block, if it's loose it wont run that well
If your fuel pump isn't working, check the circuit opening relay and fuel pump relay, you can also supply 12V direct to the pump terminals at the tank and try to listen for it running.
