boost in a 7M topic.. woot - something I can contribute to.

Yes - I agree with Yian, it will depend on the condition of your engine and how you look after it. I must be one of the lucky ones.

boosting a factory ecu tho - you won't be happy with it ... Eldar, you had a freaky ECU - boost cut is no ones friend, and very frustrating.

I soon solved the problem with a HKS fuel cut defender - and then got one of those TurboTech bleed valves Negative Boost mentioned. very reliable unit. Bargain price!

I try to run my car around 10psi daily driving.. but it often visits 13-15psi when I want some extra fun. Has also gone as high as 18psi ... still without BHG *touches wood*

When I eventually upgrade to an EBC .. I'll probably go with the Gizmo. I've seen them in use, and they are a few hundred dollars cheaper than the competition.

    cheers

The lexus mod (Ive done it to mine) raises the fuel cut, I'm gonna try push mine to 10 - 12 psi, the good thing is now have 2 cars at my disposal, so I have a safty net

My TurboTech valve should arrive early next week, along with 7 extra points for my licence, WOOT, I don't have to live in fear anymore, currently I have 0 (or 5 depending on how you look at it) points left...

with the afm mod, is it just as simlpe as screwing out your old one replacing it with the other unit then changing the injectors also, then turn key and fire it up, is it that easy?

    Ey all,

installed my turbotech last night, and ive set the boost to 10psi, holds there pretty well too, very hapy with the $25 I spent... I'll go through the gears tonight and see exactly where it holds.

    Cheers
