Does anybody have a pdf of the workshop manual?
thanks
Anybody bought this hose before..its split just where the metal connects to the rubber.
I don't need to go to Pirtek do I. Do aftermarket companies have these off the shelf?
It connects down to a bango fitting that I think is going to be very hard to undo the bolt and do back up.
Anybody done this job?!!

We have an SV21. (Dec 1989)
Just before we bought it a bit over a year ago, it had a new steering rack put in and at the same time all the flexible fluid lines were replaced.
The previous owner had it done at Pedders.
Maybe a crowd like them who do steering etc would sell the lines ar tell you where to get them from ??
By the way, going by your pictures, your steering lines look much the same. If it's any help, I don't have a PDF but I do have a hard copy w/s manual.
If you have access to a fax I could send the required pages.
Let me know if you get stuck.
Cheers.
It looks like you might already have an aftermarket hose there from Pirtek etc. If you're a tightarse, then you shouldn't have any trouble finding one at the wreckers, otherwise go to Pirtek/Enzed, or if you're even braver, Toyota.
Thanks AJH and MrShin.
So you think it looks like a pirtek or simlar? What by the fittings on it?
I looked through the last owners receipts and found they had it replaced about 2 years ago. Must have been a dodgy hose or install..
ajh the fax would be much appreciated. I'll PM you my fax no.
thanks a lot
I may go to a pick and payless place and see if I can spot one in good condition..
get them from pirtek or any hydrolic company etc!
dont bother to get one from a wreckers 9 out of 10 of them will be leaking or will do soon
get pirtek/enzed to fix it will cost about 100/150 if you pull it off
make sure you get new washers for the banjo bolt they will leak if you dont
Yeh i agree, dont bother with second hand, it'll end up being more work in the end when the second one leaks. Quick trip to Toyota for a genuine one, or Pirtek/enzed will whip one up for you. Price a genuine first, sometimes you'll be surprised some things arent too expensive, but there are other times you'll fall over backwards at the price.
take the old hose to pirtek/enzed they will make it up inc new end s for trade about $110.00 new from toyota they are expensive as it comes complete inc the metal pipe approx $350.00
