Did you take off any hoses (vacuum or otherwise) while installing the pod? Sounds like a boost leak of some sort making it run rich (choking feeling)...
Hey,
I just installed my pod filter to my 7MGTE Z20 (with airflow meter) and it freed up the turbo alot but I have a problem with accelleration prior to spool up. it feels like its getting choked, maybee not enough fuel? Not sure of what way to go about fixing it!
Also, I need some tuning, can you tune the factory ECU much? if so whats the rough price, just so i dont get ripped!

I did DC the intercooler from the intake manifold...would this effect...and for the pod i just took of the old airbox...its got me confused
Well if it hasn't been fully tightened back, it could be leaking air.. double check all hose clamps and all vacuum hoses... It's a pain in the arse, but it's gotta be done.

ye i did notice the pipe to the turbo mouth had a 3mm gap and ive fixed that...i shall test after work![]()
that would explain the prob...unmetered air confusing the system...
and no...toyota factory ECUS cant be tuned....
The adapter peice restricted the original size of the airflow intake so i got out the tin snips and fixed that...its all good now
