    Hm, that wiring diagram makes it pretty damn easy.

    FWIW the R154 remote shifter assembly from the JZX90/JZX100 boxes isn't interchangable with the JZA70 assembly

    It probably is interchangeable with a bit of fiddling. I did the same sort of thing with a W58, you have to mix'n'match components but it can be done.

    Much easier to get a complete JZZ30 box in the first place though. Take a few measurements first so you know which one to buy!

    from what John found the jza70 box doesn't physically have provisions to attach the remote linkages. He had an x100 box that needed to be converted to the a70 style shifter and wasn't able to do it unfortunately.

    Ah ok that makes sense. I actually did it the other way, ie external to internal shifter.

    I'm sure it would be possible by using the x100 rear housing as well.

    Was the auto particularly bad or did it just not suit the driving you wanted to do? I only ask as I'm trying to find reasons NOT to buy an aristo next Feburary...
    GTE23 - Accruing parts - Packed away in the farm container
    UZA28 - Accruing parts - Packed away in the farm container
    LN65 - Awaiting 1KZT dual transfer 4.88 electric locker transplant
    YN65 - Drive car and cabin donor - ok fuckit 1UZ conversion
    YN65 - Additional cabin donor - engineered bogan spec
