    Default clocking a used turbo.

ive clocked my old turbo but it was brand new so the core/rear housing was not rusted together, now im just wondering if anyone has any little tricks to allow me to clock the turbo, wd40 doesnt work , an oxy will do it but thats a last resort for me and if the oxy is the only way, will i cook the bearings/seals easily or am i fairly safe in that department and how hot do i need to heat it up...

    thanks

I clocked my ct26.when i undid that massive circlip, all i did was tap it with a soft hammer and it came off no problems.

edit: or try tapping around it with a big flat head (the metal end). metal on metal seems to let the vibrations through and break up rust etc..

when they've been used for a while they don't "just turn" (in my limited experience)
