It was done ages ago by Stenno who doesn't seem to post here any more. He had his car going in about a week so it can't have been too big a deal.

As mentioned there are a few 2JZA70's getting around on Supraforums - look for SirPsychoSexy who actually has two of them!

    Haha! Thats me!

One of them is running and is my daily driver. The other has been off the road for 30months or so now. The job is 95% finished, Ive just hit a few snags and havent had much time/motivation to finish it recently.

Both will be running after Xmas...........and one of them may soon after be up for sale.

Yah Stenno's car was the goodness. He had issues with the V160 shifter - he shortened it Norbie so you might want to chat to him about how he did it - and also the gearbox crossmember. There were other little things like integrating the wiring (speed sensor and the like) but he had his conversion up and running in about 3 weeks or less (certainly less than a month). From memory, the actual bolting in is a piece of piss if the car is post 1990 - use JZA70 mounts.

Yeah IF you can do everything yourself it isnt much more expensive than a 1JZ conversion. Everything includes pipework fabrication, wiring and elbow grease. But there is a SHITLOAD more time and effort involved.

At the time I started my white car I was a bit scared by the whole thing and got Dodgy Bros "Motorsport" to do the job for me. 8 months and $XX,XXX later they had the engine in but no wiring done. Then I got it towed home and gracious Norbie came round to give me a hand getting her sorted out.

Learn from my mistakes and if you really want to do this plan everything out to perfection....then do the job yourself!

If youre running an R154 in your car as it stands youve saved yourself a fair bit as you will only need a different bellhousing, flywheel and clutch. (Assuming you buy an Aristo cut to save $$) R154 means your speedo wont need modification which also saves you a major PITA job.

I used a JZA70 crossmember and JZA80 engine mounts/brackets on mine. Another guy has used some Mopar mounts and apparently has his engine sitting slightly lower than mine.
