Nope thats the H22, the F22c would be the 2.2L version of the S2000 motor thats used in US S2000's. Not sure of its use in any other markets if at all, ie I know we haven't got it yet.Originally Posted by NeoNasty
Chances of getting one as far as I'm aware would be very slim and shipping costs from the US would be rather substantial. Just noted you location being CA possibly California hence you would be able to source a F22c pretty easily if that is right![]()
PS As much as I hate SR20's its now becoming quite a common conversion and hell the amount of off the shelf parts for them is a joke and would be a very cheap option to extract more power out of after the initial cost of the conversion.
As below this shouldn't be in this section![]()

If in doubt power out
this is soooo not tech discussion.
neither would win either.
oh wow ......u guy s dont have F22c's there ? ....over here in the US ....they pop up everywhere ......they are dropping them in old celica's and ae86's ..........as for me im doing the Ca18det in ae86 as we speak.......ca18det parts are hard to attain over here ........so far everything i bought is from australia.......my motor came from australia too, i found out .....since this isnt in th tech section .....u guys can go ahead na delete it .....or if i can figure out how i will do it my self
Nope we only ever got the F20c ie the 2L version.Originally Posted by chinamandrift
This thread is fine to have on the forums but it probably should of been started in the general car chat section as its more applicable to it.
Best of luck with the project, CA18DET's are very common over here and they are cheap because no one likes them because we have so many SR20DET's as well.![]()

good luck with the conversion... to make this thread more applicable, should chuck some pics up
I've got a funny feeling we got H22s in our preludes at one stage, dunno tho... I don't know of many people that play with Hondas here.
Yes we got H22's in our Prelude's the last of the VTir and Vtiratts Prelude's had them, but the F22c is another motor altogether, its a bored/stroked??? version of the F20c made specifically for the US market because they whinged about the lack of bottom end in the F20cOriginally Posted by ViPeR_NiPPleX
