I have the opportunity to get a Supra ECU which I am keen to try, however I *really* like my Air con...
Is there a easy way to get the A/C working if I stay with the Poopra ECU ???
my plan is to wire it into a switch. not the most elegant way to solve the problem but it is simple.

It all depends if yr switching the air con thru the ecu, prob not id say , the ecu will just be getting the air con signal to idle up when the air is on. so yr air should still work .

Has anyone tried replacing the capacitors in the ECU with high quality ones, like Rubycon or Nichicon etc?
This has helped with problems with my 4AGZE ECU among others, documented on these forums. The caps used by Toyota tend to leak and corrode the circuit board and cause all manner of strange problems.
If someone can give me a list of values and voltage ratings (printed on the caps themselves) I can compile a list of part numbers that can be ordered from www.rsaustralia.com
A group buy could possibly be arranged if this fix works to a donor to keep costs to a minimum, as minimum quantities apply (5 part minimum per value).
If there is a willing guinea pig that can get to southside Brisbane, I'm able to replace the caps no worries.

i have found a way around the 'fake limiter' but it has side effects and isnt a suitable permanent solution
hello
The issue is TRC comunication between to 2 ecu,s , it just would be nice to hook up certain wires without the trc ecu to avoid the rev limit.
Dave
apparently 1 wire on the 2j ECU needs a 0 or 5V signal from the TRC computer.
hello
Yes it will be something like that , I will sit down with it and work it out one of these days . all the trc pins are labeled inside the trc ecu witch makes it easyer.

air con is only affected in the aristo.Originally Posted by ProjectSleeper

pls try this as i am interested in how you think the ecu's work differently since you dont have this rev limiter problem with your aristo ecu.
there are supra ecus goign cheap in for sale section.
MX83 2JZ-GTE!!
#YOLO.
If you have hooked the air con up by the aristo apecs , the A/C wont work in the cressida , also as you said placenta the overdrive light flashes . I tried all this today , Im not sure why the overdrive light flashes tho , With my aristo ecu everything worked perfect no codes except TRC comunication .
Something must be wired different between the aristo and supra, besides the pwr switch , I know the autos are the same . \]

hey guys,
im doin a 2jz-ge conversion into a mx83 and itsall done wired up and every thing works fine except wen i open the throttle under acc or evan stadin still it wont rev out it seems like it hits a rev limiter and i was wondering if thats wat ay one else has had a problem with as my gearbox has the kickdown cable instead of the elec sol ones,
oh also my ecu and motor is a airsto one
