    Perhaps I should've paid more attention to the photos of the firewall of the yellow one before it got painted
    As much as I'd like to, I won't be making use of engineering sticks.
    The lower, slightly more forward position will remain, with a 10mm rearward movement (which the gearbox crossmember will happily take up). There is no further rearward movement possible without firewall creativity, regardless of the height of the engine.

    Despite knowing full well that the difference would be minor, I would keep kicking myself for not trying it out Thanks everyone for the input and discussion
