Here's my cressy with the R33 calipers and BA Falcoon rotors...stock rims no longer fit over the big brakes.

Stops a lot better! Just make sure the bleeder nipple is up top, don't make my mistake of putting the calipers upside down and spending ages scratching your head wondering why the brakes won't bleed lol
Also make sure you put the discs on the correct sides of the car as they are directional.

    Cool.
I just picked up a cheap set for $145. So now looking for rims.
I'll probably got for Lexus or Altezza imports from Japan as its nice and cheap, plus relatively stock looking and offsets seem like they will fit (17x7 +50).

Grampa spec has gone up a notch it would seem

Be careful with Altezza rims, have heard rumours of requiring the factory nuts to centre them properly. Might pay to investigate that before you splash the cash.

16" is the smallest rim you can run.
Z32 calipers are smaller and need a 280mm disc, which you can use an AU Falcoon rotor for and machine it down.

Its just a rumour I've heard so would pay to confirm before you spend extra on the nuts, supposed to be lug centric rather than hub centric.

What is the widest rim size you can go to with this upgrade in either a 17in or 18 in diameter and what would the offsets have to be ? I am planning this upgrade this year as well as wheels and suspension.

ok, well did the conversion today, took about 1hr n 1/2 from start to finish.

only had one hick up with the right brake line....came out a little cross threaded, and had damaged the thread on the hose itself....

got out the thread file, cleaned it up, and threw it in fine,...

i gotta say...10000000000000.99% increase in braking perfomance,

and i used the old r33 pads that came with the calipers, just refaced them....still good 8mm left

such a better pedal feel, and alot less prone to lock up so easy,.....

honestly cant belive how good it is.,.....im really gonna try and get this setup into the RA23....heaps better brakes over the hilux/pug.....

will get some pics up, looks sweet!

    Hi Blake

I hope the locator rings worked OK. Please let me know and I will make some more.

Also do the new wheels still fit well??

    Could someone measure this:

The bolt spacing for the R33/32 caliper.

And maybe the gap between those bolting area and the disc brake, so we can see if this will work on other cars (other than MA61's).
