This thread is pretty old so the pics probably aren't hosted any more.
I have pics of a similar setup here:

isnt a 1mm spacer required between the calliper and the mounting bolts to center the calliper up.

Possibly, but I don't know of anyone who has done that.
The caliper has a 1mm or so of play in it.

approx outer diameter of the ms65 hub is 16cm....now for inside diameter of BA falcon rotor...
WOW didn't see the initial age of this thread, just saw the recent replies...
No spacers/washers used by me either.. all bolts right up//
If you want to machine down to fit R32 calipers, I would start with the AUII/AUIII disc. Virtually identical to the BA disc but 287mm so much less to machine down.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT

You'll have to push harder on the pedal if you do this.Originally Posted by ProjectSleeper
im still trying to understand why you had to upgrade in the first place?i have a mx83 grande as a daily and if i stand on the brakes hard at any speed i almost go through the windscreen and the a.b.s works a treat.if you suffered brake fade then change to a bendix ceramic and make sure your discs are machined to spec.it must be a track car to need more brakes then what there capable of properly setup surely.just to test i had a friend with a turbo a ma70 supra stand on his beside me and i outbraked him by a fair distance so if you have well machined rotors the right pads e.t.c you shouldnt need to gin around with a conversion in the first place...but thats just me.
if you dont believe come take a ride with me.
Few reasons for me...Originally Posted by wiseco7mgt
1. Better braking - sure, the Standard MX83 (with ABS) are good.. but I wanted better..
2. More seletcion of brake pads compounds - The amount of MX83 stuff that is available from good pad manufacturers is slowly dwindling, none of the specalty places does anything at all.... Not so with the R33GTSt / R32GT-R calipers - they share the same pad as the WRX and 200SX - there are Billions* of options
3. More selection of brake Rotor options. as above - there are once again Billions* of options from different manufacturers for the BA Falcon Rotor - I mean just DBA have about 6 options available..
* May or may not be slightly exaggerated![]()
wiseco7mgt, have you done 5 or more emergency stops from 110kph with those ceramic pads and machined discs?
Its only a 22mm thick disc. It doesn't take a huge amount of heat to cause brake fade when you only have a thin disc.
The MX83 is also not a light machine, and the brakes are quite undersized for its weight (when you consider how much power you now have that is, for factory setup they are quite acceptable)

I know this debate has been done to death and if I had a 2jz-gte engine I would also want big brakes. But for the average MX83 there is a good range of pads since we use the same pads as some model Hiluxs. The Bendix 4WD is an australian made pad with a Kevlar matrix. This is quality pad and suffers very little fade even at high temps.
+ a turbo you need to + the brakes.
if you make the car faster you need to stop quicker.
one slight problem is i got the slotted 4000 series dba rotors, nice rotors but the ba studs are
slightly larger then cressida so when all installed you can move the rotor front and back a few mm, a brake shop had a sad at me when i showed them and they reckon blank dba rotors drilled to cressida stud is the way to go
otherwise no probs with mine just had a bit of trouble finding correct offset rims to clear the brakes and not hit the guards
r32 gts rims are good, nice clearance,
r32 gtr are tad to wide for standard guards
fear the chicks car
