Its also cheaper too, my entire brake upgrade cost $450, and for stocky bits it would have been $750 at least. Although i had to replace pads, discs and one caliper at least.

yeah your dead right there i run a parts shop and stock ba discs are cheap as hell, im sure some brands are as cheap as $50.00 each rotor, and yes they do make a more thorough range for the skylines for obvious reasons. i understand more speed needs bigger brakes but i also know better pads with good discs and s/s braided brake lines make for a quite capable braking system.and no my brakes dont seem to fade but saying that ive never driven the cressida on a track where ive pushed lap after lap.if thats your purpose for the cressy than i fully understand the big brake upgrade.but if you only use the car for street and the occasional abuse out where no one can see you i doubt youd realy need to push money into an area which is already pretty good.
(it out brakes my ma61gt which definatly needs a brake upgrade)

There was an article in Autospeed that proved that s/s braided lines did nothing to improve the braking efficiency when compared to the equivalent sized normal hoses. sure, if your hoses are old and starting to buldge, then braided will improve things, but then again, so would new standard ones.

    Blake,
I just cut my sheild back ( remember to keep the ABS sensor if your MX83 is so equipped).

The BA Rotors are the same for the XT/XR6 etc.. it just sounds better to say "XR6 Turbo rotors"

Yes, MX83 caliper bolts are used.

here are some pics of the brakes on mine...

One thing to remember - The BA Falcon rotors are slightly taller (hat height) so it does change your offset VERY slightly

Hat height will not affect offset.
Thickness of the metal at the hub end will.

I know my rear Nissan discs are 2mm thicker than factory, so that changes the offset by 2mm

The DBA 4000's are what I have - just Slotted, and they have the Temperature marks as shown in my pics..

IMPORTANT NOTE- Forgot to mention that the pic taken from the back (above) has the caliper upside down... - they were just being trial fitted for the pics... The bleed valve MUST go at the top...

There are 2 lots of JZA70 rims..
I fould that ONLY the +44 Offset ones fitted inside the guards once the brake conversion is done...

    Here are some more pics...

    These are 16x7 +40 with 225/50R16 tyres...

The +40's Looked awesome, (Like a Simmons "OM" style) but stuck out unfortunately.

    These are 16x7 +44 with 225/50R16 tyres...

    +44 Offset Sawblades...

I am now running Factory Mitsubishi Magna TL AWD 16x7's (+46 offset) and they fit perfect. Perfect for the "Factory style" Apperance too.. and BLOODY CHEAP to boot...

The above Supra is an MA70 and it appears to have JZA80 rims on it.
