No, R32 calipers dont work with this.
And if i dig around enough i might be able to find a spare pair of my caliper spacers (alloy). Will post them up FS if i find some.
hey just wondering if r32 calipers work with this also?
and would you make up some more hub/disc spacer/locaters?
cheers. blake

Well, R32 calipers will work, but not with the BA discs.
You'll have to find a 280mm disc with the same hat height as the BA disc.

Do the stockies still fit over with r33's with this convo?
Or are some bigger rims in need?
do you mind if i ask what the centre inside diameter of the ford disc is?
not the centre hole, but the maximum diamater a hub can be before fouling with the disc when putting it over the hub.
I know the centre hole will be plenty big enough, so that isn't an issue

would i be able to just machine the rotor down in size to 280mm?Originally Posted by CrUZida

cheers,![]()
Yes, all the Nissan calipers are bolt on the the MX83, MX73, and XA6X. Probably a few others too.
I think the z32 caliper will fit too, but needs a spacer as it sits too far to the outside of the hub.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ford is 71.2mm

so are there any catches with the conversion?....any probs people have had?
cheers, blake
Not had a problem at all..
I run DBA 4000 series slotted Rotors
they seem to work pretty well..
I will be shortly investigating a larger master cylinder though, I reckon the braking could be improved even more with a larger master...
that's the centre hole isn't it Cruz, rather than the inside diameter of the rotor part that goes around the outside edge of the hub?Originally Posted by CrUZida

To cut a long story short, would the outside edge of the MS65 hub require machining down in order to get the BA rotor to fit over it? I know you had to do work to an a6x hub, but is anything required to the ms65 hub?
i can' t find a willing machinist as of yet to turn down the hubs![]()
The benefits of having a lathe at home![]()
I've done stuff to hubs for quite a few people - surely someone near you has a lathe in the shed?
Whoops, yes, that is the centre hole.
The MS65 hub needs turning down just like the MA61 hub, but thats for Nissan discs.
I don't know the ID of the Ford disc.
I have a 355mm FPV RDA disc at home, that fits over a GZ20 (nonABS) hub if that helps?

I'll have a couple of Falcon rotors kicking around, if I remember I might measure one up, although I did take a bit off the outside of later Crown hubs for the BA rotors from memory.
i will measure the outside diameter of the 65 hub when i get home. it will be rough guide with just a ruler though.
I don't have no friends with lathes![]()
I think i am hanging out in the wrong circle of friends
