    yeah, there's a specific question

    what's your budget? justjap coolers are under $200... go HKS, ARE etc and you're looking at the $1k price range.
    What engine/boost? the more boost you're running, the better quality cooler you're going to want to support that

    This is a bit like asking which car is the best.

    How do you define "best"? What are your goals, your expectations, your budget? Far more information is required before you will get a meaningful answer.

    He has a 4agte. Either in a Ke10 or an AE92.

    I guess either way you will need to make up the piping that you need, check out ARE they look like they know what they are on about. They also have some tech info on there website too.

    you could get a just jap cheapy, cut the tanks off, improve the airs entry into the core, then put better tanks on?

    or pay abotu the same to have a decent one without needing mods?

    (or acid dip the core )

    And would the benefit even be measurable on a typical 4A-GTE?

    The JustJap cheapies have been proven on some pretty big HP setups, I honestly can't see what's wrong with them unless you have a big-dollar build and you're chasing that last poofteenth of horsepower.

    let the neg repping begin..

    mate this is a technical forum, now i'm not flaming you or anything but "better" is a matter of opinion...

    that said, blitz is good for me.. pinching the intercooler off an XR6 turbo falcon for a GZE running 6 psi is good enough for me.... apparently intercoolers from a Saab motor is really good for flow and pressure..

    but do a search around toymods and the intahweb and u'll note that there are three different typs of intercoolers (2 actually..).. bar and plate, tube and fin, and the all incredible truck intercoolers... note what u're after, stealth, top mount, front mount.. then how much psi and flow you're chasing... then ask around the good and knowledgable people of toymods, and get a rough idea of an adequate size recommended for your application..

    after all that, u'll realise brand has nothing to do with it.. it's more size, design of the core and tanks that truly make an intercooler "good"...

    that or if u didn't get a word of what i just typed, bigger and more expensive and shinier, the better

    just plumb the turbo directly into the plenum... best flow possible that way.
    ...... butt scratcher?!
