Hmmm, I'm surprised they're different at all. Good info though, my heater core is stuffed so I may need to do something similar! It's such a PITA to get at the damn thing though.![]()
I have just done this, as the heater core in my MA61 was stuffed. you only need a couple of tools. 1 butane pencil torch, flux & solder.
Heat the elbow fitting up, with the torch & twist about 110 degrees, to line up with the old heater core, add some new solder. i had to replace a small pice of foam, as i burnt it as i was doing this job,( got foam tape from a hardware shop )
