Sorry to say, but its time for a new box or a rebuild.
Recently my mz11’s auto has been slipping but I still drove it (my bad I know)
And I was driving it the other night when it was especially bad, so much so that
Smoke was pouring from the underneath of the car and now I have no reverse!
To make maters worse if I select neutral and reverse it only wants to drive forward to
Any one knows any suggestions of what the problem is and how to fix it?
I can get a spare torque converter and auto box for parts but if its going to cost more
That a couple of hundred to fix I might as wait for a manual box.
thanks.

Would It be the box its self that’s the problem or the whole set up including the torque converter?
becuase i can grab a spare one for a while before i get around to an auto but just want to know how much work would be involved.

normally when they slip its because the material on the bands has burned away resulting in slippage as opposed to the bands grabbing. this is only one of about a billion different things that could be the problem though
in all honesty, put a newby in mate
well i guess i can jsut get that spare and put it in for the time being, it jsut need to run to get RWC.
but jsut as long as the problems in the auto its self... should be sweet.
thanks!
