    cheers guys

the boost gauge that i have is a spit fire psi and air flow gauge, which i have heard is an excellent product...

How much would a fuel cut defender cost me??? What shop would be the best for aftermarket parts as we dont have a very big range over here in WA..

    cheers

You can buy a hks/avo fcd or simular product for between $100-200 i think.? (i've never looked into getting one)
These products will raise the fuel/boost cut level, but it doesnt completely disable the fuel/boost cutting feature. Now..
You can buy a zenner diode (works as a one way gate.power can only travel one way)from a place like jaycar/dicky's etc and simply wire that in.(snip one wire and solder it inline, very easy) They cost about $1.00-2.00. This however completely removes the boost/fuel cut feature so you must be careful of boost spikes because they could possibly harm your engine.

Also Lance posted above^ that you can block the line going to the map sensor (possibly with two bolts on either ends or sticking a ballbearing in the line). this will completely remove the boost/cut function aswell.

Or, alternatively if your looking to buy a aftermarket ecu later done the track, most makes have the function to adjust the boost/fuel cut limit.(they have a built in fcd pretty much)

There all your choices pretty much, so its your decision

just be careful how much boost you dial in VS the age of your engine ..

Alot of us have had HG failures ( when weill we learn - hehe ) around long extended use around 14 - 15 PSI on a stock unopened engine - 11-12 PSI with a good dump pipe and exhaust and your FMIC will yield quite happy results until you step up to the next level

Just remember when you FMIC your car , see if you can install a plumb back BOV into the system to help lessen the strain on your turbo over time - much worth it if your budget allows and money well spent , also for the next level of mods
