That's a very nice power curve and a nice bunch of power for a mere 13psi.

i dunno about being too big
. 50 A/R COMPRESSOR
.63 A/R TURBINE
my gt2535 is .64 a/r
your 2535...when does it make boost? is it laggy? do you have a dyno sheet to prove?Originally Posted by 4agte
also your 2535 would be ball bearing yes? this T3/4 item isnt and ive found they arent as responsive when they are a plain bearing item...

Never said you werent, just pointing out that it gets a bit twitchy when the boost hitsOriginally Posted by faulksy

i have strong beliefs in the uber value to performance ratio of the WRX turbo. You can pick them up for around $200 a lot of the time, and with a good manifold and the right build.... you can be happy with something like this:

...... butt scratcher?!
This is not a highly backed up opinion but if you only want 7psi i know i guy that used to have a 4A in a rolla that he bolted the turbo off a CA16 (nissan EXA or simillar) onto, and it would spool almost instantly and boost 8psi to redline. I think he mumbled something one time bout too much exhaust manifold pressure at top end but the guy is a "backyard perfectionist"
All i know is that red rolla was bloody quick. Dunno where the car is now coz i haven seen the guy for ages.
i dont think the t3/4 would be as laggy as a gt30 which is what i would consider too bigOriginally Posted by MR 1JZ
i agree. whenever every asks me what turbo i have and say "gt30" the respond you mean "t3" some people dont believe me until i pop the bonnet to show the monster underneath.Originally Posted by 4agte
i reckon a good t3 would be nice on a 4age. not for me though as want something gt spec

You have to remember that A/R is a ratio. You can't just compare the number between different turbo families. A T3 0.63 housing is a hell of a lot bigger than a T25 0.64 housing. Or even better example my TO4 has a 0.58 housing and it hits 10psi at 4500rpm on my worked 3S. Physically the turbine housing is at least 25% larger than a T28 0.86 housing.
