A looks strangely like an oil pressure sender, although I doubt a camry would have an oil pressure gauge![]()
I think it's A. As most of the Toyota temp senders have single wire, spade connections.
Kind Regards,

doesnt have a gauge, but it has an light.Originally Posted by Dale
I thought it was B, but then again, my picture is crap. B has a single wire as well.
Is A going into the head or the water junction? looks like it goes into the head, if so I'd have to think it's an oil pressure sender

How sure are you guys that the temp sender goes to the ECU? i've read on another forum that the temp sender goes straight to the intrument cluster. If it goes straight to the cluster wouldnt that mean the ECU would not have a code for it ?
AFAIK there's two
the gauge goes straight to the cluster, the other one goes to the ecu. the one going to the ecu is usually two wire though

A is the oil pressure sensor
B is the water temp sender for the *gauge*
The one next to B is the water temp sensor it goes to the ECU
The orange one that is horizontal is the cold start injector timer switch.
The last one is the water temperature switch that switches the thermofans on and off.
B is the one you want to check to get your gauge working again.

I've found a wiring diagram for the instrument panel, so i'm going to do a few tests on the weekend.
