    Default What's this missing bit?

    Hi

    I'm using a cross member from an auto MA61 ( thanks Wilbo ) to fit a R154 into my MA61. Reading through the forums suggests this is a bolt up job.

    However, looking at the bolt holes in the cross member, and the 6 angled holes in the gearbox, it would appear I'm missing something

    I'm assuming that I need something else that sits between the cross member and the box, and I'm assuming that it's made out of some sort of rubber to absorb vibrations.

    I had a look on the Cygnus X1 site - but couldn't see it there anywhere.

    What is this mystery piece that I need?

    Thanks

    PS: I'm replacing a W58 - would it have a suitable swap over piece? I would check under the car, but it's currently off getting new suspension.

    Gearbox mount.

    Available on the Mackay's automotive rubber catalogue. I bought one through Bursons for $40 trade.

    Just looked it up. A5197 is what you need.

    Cost = 1 sledgehammer.

    Have a bit of a search on www.celicasupra.com - there are pics of what needs to be hit.

    It's called selective massage. Hopefully your console would be tucked away somewhere safe.
    Picture from this thread showing the amount of selective massaging required.
