Default 1JZ missing and feeling laggy

when the cars cold it has a hesitation, like it drops a cylinder every so often, this is only under slight load, when i am cruising or more than say 25% throttle its ok, and when i go to accelerate slightly the car feels like it has a big turbo on it, then it all of a sudden takes off.
Boost comes on at normal revs, was ok all last weekend at the Jamboree, maybe cause i was either no throttle or full into it.

the plugs are about 500k over due

Mine is doing the same thing at the moment. It was not doing it before I pulled the injectors out for a service. I ended up putting them back in unserviced as the place i took em too couldnt do it. The only other thing I fiddled with was the ISCV. Hope to inspect it in the morning.

It feels like it is only missing when at <0psi, once above that it doesnt have a problem. If you find a solution I'd be keen to hear it.
I have brand new plugs, they were not regapped.

Are the NGK BKR7's not a common plug? Or is it just that my local repco retailer is f*cking hopeless? I went in their today and they said they only stock BKR6's and would have to order the BKR7's in

I put BKR6E's in mine, why do you want the BKR7's?

Just regapped my plugs to .7 today and it now runs perfect
Have you had any luck with yours Mr DOHC?

lojik: I want the BKR7's ready for when I upgrade my turbos Mainly on recommendation from others that have modded their 1JZs more than the basic stuff, they recommend moving to a slightly colder plug

i run BKR7E-11's, they are common, u need the 7 heat range with anythign over about 180rwkw {look at my mods versus power} the "11" part means its a 1.1 gap, since u need to regap them anyway it doesnt matter

cool thats what i have been told, stock should be .8 gap bkr6's and modded should be .7 ish with bkr7's. In my town we have just about all the major car parts retailers, and not one of them could supply me with the bkr7's right there and then

i've got around 200rwkw. If I run the bkr6's they will just not last as long right... or get more deposits on them etc. I will regap em to .7 and see if that helps with the laggyness/misfiring. I want my smooth 1jz'ness back!

yep try regapping them first, its amazing what .4mm does! Before regapping mine it would refuse to rev anything over 4k without popping and farting all over the place
Im still running the brk6's for now until I the brk7's arrive. And it seems to be running fine. I think its more an issue of the spark blowing out rather than how long they last for, can anyone correct me on this?

I run BKR6EP's gapped to 0.65mm, runs fine Clean them every 5000 (they are spotless anyway) and all is good. 200rwkw. Might try these BKR7's though!
